MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE 'Takes Over' U.K.'s ROCK RADIO; Audio Available

On September 19, Paul Anthony of U.K.'s Rock Radio aired an interview with MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. The chat, which was pre-recorded (in August 2009),is now available for download as an MP3 file at this location. It can also be streamed using the audio player below.

MEGADETH's new album, "Endgame", has registered the following first-week chart positions around the world:

Australia: #11
Canada: #4
Finland: #7
Germany: #21
Ireland: #27
Italy: #26
Norway: #15
Switzerland: #32
U.K.: #24
USA: #9

"Endgame" sold 45,000 copies in the United States and 8,200 units in Canada in its first week of release.

MEGADETH's previous CD, "United Abominations", opened with around 54,000 copies in the U.S. to debut at No. 8. This was more than the 46,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, "The System Has Failed" (which landed at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart),and was a bit less than the 61,000 opening number of 2001's "The World Needs A Hero" (No. 16).

"Endgame" was recorded at MEGADETH's brand new, self-built studio in San Marcos, California — Vic's Garage — which was named after the legendary and iconic Vic Rattlehead character. The CD was helmed by Mustaine and British producer Andy Sneap (EXODUS, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, MACHINE HEAD).
